I am a native Idahoan, but I've lived in Oregon as well.
I've been an Artist most of my life whether it be teaching art or creating art from my home. I paint landscapes, sea
scapes, portraits, action sports, florals and still lifes. I also do
airbrush work on helmets and other things that will accept paint. God
gave me a great talent and I love using it to create beautiful works of
art |

Barbara began painting in the mid 1950s. All through the years, as she
and her husband were raising their family, Barbara painted whenever she
could find the time. However, it wasn't until she and her husband were
both retired from work in 2000, that she was able to paint on a regular
basis and to study with some of the finest artists in her area. |

Being a native Idahoan, I have spent most of my life in
the beautiful mountains of the Idaho panhandle. I have seen and painted many of Idaho's wild natives, bear, deer, elk,
etc. My saw blades are recycled from local sawmills and carpenters, they feature original artwork but can also be custom
ordered. |

"I like
to do paintings of ancestral or historical importance. I work from black
and white and add my own colors. Groups of people at work or play are a
favorite subject, and I also do portraits of pets." |

My love for animals began early in life while growing up in the Rocky
Mountains. Our high mountain valley was home to abundant species of wildlife. My childhood pets included horses, dogs,
cats, rabbits, hamsters, and an occasional frog or two.
I am best known for my fanciful animal portraits in vibrant watercolors. When choosing color I make my decisions
intuitively, painting from my creative spirit. I paint wet, on dry un-stretched paper, using techniques such as spattering,
scraping, and salt. My goal is to express what each of us experiences with the animals that nurture us. Thank you Lucky
and Rosie, my beautiful Great Danes, you give me laughter, comfort, and inspiration. |
