Rebecca York began the fine art of mosaic Dec. 2003.
After beginning a six month chemotherapy treatment, Becky was very ill and couldn’t do much. Always awed by the beauty of
glass, Becky experimented. The result was beautiful mosaic stained glass pieces. She uses many different found materials
in her work including deer antler, agates, mirror, and clay. |

I have
been working with stained glass since 1996 when living on the small
island, Johnston Atoll, and really enjoy this art form. Currently living
back in my hometown of Coeur d'Alene with my son, I specialize in creative
wilderness stained glass, using objects like antique snowshoes to frame my
work. I also teach classes out of my home studio and work with fused glass
making jewelry. I am available for custom work. |

Artist Marie Mehrabian's fascination with the medium of
stained glass as an art form has evolved from traditional stained glass to abstract compositions exploring glass as layers
of colors, textures, movement and light. Glass has played a profound role in art and architecture since the medieval times
but glass has not often been used as an independent art form. Marie approaches each panel as a transparent painting, an
experimental creation versus a dogmatic creation. |

Lampwork glass beads are miniature works of glass art that
can be used in jewelry, used to enhance other art projects, or collected for their own special beauty. I focus on colorful,
whimsical beads with a sense of humor but sometimes stray into more conventional realms. |

I have been a professional artist for 26 years.
Historically, I have been a wildlife artist doing work for wildlife conservation organizations all over the United States
and Canada. I have now begun concentrating on the landscape that our wildlife inhabits. Impressionism and abstract works now
dominate my efforts. By combining my backgrounds in architecture, wildlife and outdoor sports, I am able to portray images
in many new and exciting ways. My work is in collections throughout the US and Canada. |
